Partnering with Parents, Carers, and Schools

In every assessment process, collaboration with key stakeholders—parents, carers, educators, and other professionals ("the Commissioner")—is vital. Our approach includes consultations with parents, carers, and teaching staff to gather comprehensive insights. Commissioners ensure that schools are informed about Educational Psychology (EP) visits in advance. No individual work is undertaken without the express agreement of the Commissioner, ensuring full alignment between all parties.

After the assessment, outcomes and recommendations are shared with relevant stakeholders, ensuring everyone is part of the decision-making process. This approach fosters transparency and helps build cohesive strategies that benefit the individual’s long-term development and well-being.

Strategic and Operational Guidance

Stillwaters Psychology collaborates with senior management teams to develop strategic and operational plans around managing challenging behaviors. Our expert guidance helps organizations implement evidence-based behavioral models tailored to their specific environment. Whether in schools, care homes, or therapeutic settings, we work closely with leadership teams to create actionable strategies that ensure the safety and well-being of both staff and individuals.

We also provide practical advice to help staff teams navigate complex challenges, offering reflective practicefor those working with individuals who display extreme behaviours. Our goal is to ensure that teams are equipped with the skills and confidence to manage difficult situations effectively.

Building Emotional Resilience in Teams

Supporting staff well-being is a core part of our consultancy. We advise on and can help implement proactive approaches that promote emotional resilience, including psychological debriefing techniques to help staff cope with challenging work environments. By building emotional resilience in teams, we not only improve staff morale but also enhance the quality of care provided to individuals with complex needs. Our focus is on fostering a healthy, supportive environment where both staff and individual can thrive.
